I built this silence out of light.
It entered first, naive and fearless and I closed it gently with walls of breath and dust.
Now it waits with me.
Outside, the sun keeps trying to remember my name.
Inside, the echoes grow roots,
and I can’t tell anymore
if I am the one hiding
or the one being kept.
